Logan Potterf

I am a stay-at-home dad to three growing boys, a husband, and in no particular order after, a cook, a photographer, a coffee lover, and a gardener. I love whole, local, fresh food, I like to ferment veggies and I'm obsessed with baking sourdough bread. One day I hope to move to a remote cottage with the family and live off of the land, but for now I'm content with the quiet rural area of Georgia in which we reside. Athens, GA is where I do most of my work, and I love its wonderful community of creatives and diversity of life.

Before photography became my passion, my wife Erin and I owned and operated an independent coffee shop for several years by the name of Green Bean Coffee Café. We loved the community surrounding our little shop and have missed it very much. My wife is now a brilliant high school science teacher and wonderful mother to our boys. We've been married for 11 wonderful years. <3

I believe photography is a quintessential part of life; something as important as eating and sleeping. I love being present in the moment and I focus on capturing the honest moments that tie us to the past. Whatever the camera type - iPhone, analog film, or digital - I try to capture the story as it unfolds. I love learning and strive to constantly grow and change, while simultaneously keeping my work classic and timeless.
